Ch Ch Ch Ch Changes-Written by Holly

Good afternoon everyone!

This post is titled changes because a lot of that has been happening recently! For those of you who don’t know, Dylan and I are currently in Arkansas, in a beautiful little studio apartment right outside of Conway. For me, this has been a major adjustment. Dylan and I have lived fairly different lives. Here’s why: I am a native of North Carolina, grew up in a family with 4 other siblings, and was a full-time student just a few months ago. Now I am in a place I don’t know, in an apartment with only one other person (Dylan), and am taking only one class to finish my degree…and here’s the thing, it has been hard and presented quite a few challenges, but it has also been refreshing!

 The Long family!

The Long family!

In this season of life I have come to realize that God has given each of us different experiences, gifts, joys, and occasionally (often for me) some major failures, all for what I like to call “the spice of life.” I’m sure many of you have heard the phrase, “If we were all the same, life would be boring.” I can testify to the validity of that! Dylan and I are currently living a life where we get to see God’s “spice of life” everywhere, not just internationally but in the States as well, since we are traveling back and forth from Arkansas to North Carolina quite often. I can’t help but to be so very thankful when I think of what an incredible God we serve. That He is a God who is able to take people from very different backgrounds and give them common ground in Him.

Dylan and I are fully reliant that God will iron out a few major questions that we have in the coming months. One of those was already answered, as I am now the “Social Media Maven” for the International Church Planters! I wish I could express in words just how thankful we are for your support, not just financially, but all the prayers as well. We could not do what we do without you guys!

With love and many thanks,

Holly

Does anyone recognize this song? I give you a hint...I think I'll trade my sorrows for the joy of the Lord!
